Viaduc construit pour que la ligne de chemin de fer franchisse la Truyère (Cantal). Léon Boyer, jeune ingénieur des ponts et chaussées, chargé de la construction de la ligne de chemin de fer, fait appel à Gustave Eiffel. Les travaux débute en 1880 et durent 4 ans.
