Troisième feuille d'une série de dix-neuf, commandées par l'éditeur Robert H. Cromek pour illustrer le recueil "The Grave" (La Tombe) de l'écrivain Robert Blair (1699-1746). Ce long poème méditatif sur la mort était devenu très populaire au XIXe siècle. Cette feuille accompagne le troisième poème "Death of the strong Wicked man" (La mort du mauvais homme)
