Detail:
Ce portrait des quatre enfants fut exposé en 1800 à la Royal Academy sous le titre Le petit orateur, Ascoyghe Boucherett, marié à Emilia, belle-fille de John-Julius Angerstein, fut membre du parlement, représentant NorthWillingham dans le Lincolshire. Ce sont leurs enfants que nous voyons ici: Emilia Mary (1790-1874), Ascoyghe (1791-1857), Juliana († 1861), et Maria (1797-1867).

PRA FRS (13 April 1769 – 7 January 1830) was a leading English portrait painter and the fourth president of the Royal Academy. Lawrence was a child prodigy. He was born in Bristol and began drawing in Devizes, where his father was an innkeeper. At the age of ten, having moved to Bath, he was supporting his family with his pastel portraits.
