Première pensée pour les honneurs funèbres peints pour la mort d'Agostino Carracci. Une cérémonie fut organisée le 18 janvier 1603 dans l'église de l'Ospedale della Morte, décorée pour la circonstance, de peintures et sculptures éphémères par les artistes issus de l'académie des Carracci. L'ensemble du décor nous est parvenu grâce aux gravures de G. Reni
