Helmut Kolle
(February 24, 1899 – November 17, 1931) was a German painter who found major success in France in the 1920s, fusing the German modernist style with that of French painting. Kolle was born in Berlin-Charlottenburg, the second son of the noted bacteriologist Wilhelm Kolle (1868–1935) and Helene Alwine Brigl.
