Detail:
Dauzats réalisa cette aquarelle durant son premier séjour en Espagne (novembre 1835-septembre 1836), alors qu'il secondait le Baron Taylor dans sa recherche de tableaux destinés à constituer au Louvre, suivant le désir du roi Louis-Philippe, une importante section de peintures espagnoles.
